How we handle your information.

The short version

• We only collect what we need to respond to an enquiry or process an enrolment application — never for advertising, and we never sell information to anyone.
• Forms on this site collect information about your child because that is what enrolling in child care requires. We treat that information with particular care.
• You can ask what we hold about your family, correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time — see Your rights below.

What we collect

Through the forms on this website, we collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method
• Your child’s first and last name and date of birth, used to check which program they are eligible for
• Anything you choose to tell us in a free-text field — for example allergies, additional support needs, or a question
• For enrolment applications specifically: your preferred program, start date and desired schedule

We do not collect payment information through this website. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

How we use it

Information submitted through this site is used only to:

• Reply to your enquiry or tour request
• Assess and process an enrolment or waitlist application
• Contact you about the status of an application you have submitted

If your child is later enrolled, this information becomes part of their enrolment record, which is retained and protected according to our licensing requirements under Fraser Health.

Where it’s stored

Enrolment applications submitted through the Apply / Waitlist form are stored in a secure Supabase database, accessible only to authorized staff. Enquiries submitted through the Contact form are sent directly by email and are not stored in a separate database. Both forms use encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our server.

Who can see it

Only staff at Tiny Learners Day Care who need it to do their jobs. We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We use the following service providers to operate this website, each of which processes data only on our instructions:

• Supabase — secure database storage for enrolment applications
• Resend — delivers email notifications when a form is submitted
• Vercel — hosts this website

We may disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the safety of a child — for example to licensing authorities, emergency services, or as part of a legal process.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you can ask to:

• See what information we hold about you or your child
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Delete information we hold, if we are not required to keep it for licensing or legal reasons
• Withdraw consent for us to contact you, at any time

How long we keep it

If your application does not result in enrolment, we retain your information for 12 months in case a space opens, then delete it. If your child is enrolled, their records are retained for the period required by Fraser Health after they leave the program.

Cookies

This site uses only the technical cookies necessary for it to function correctly (for example, keeping an in-progress application form from being lost). It does not use advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies.

Children’s information

Because we are a child care provider, a meaningful part of what we collect is information about children, provided to us by their parent or legal guardian. We never collect this information directly from a child, and access to it is restricted to staff involved in their care and enrolment.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also notify families currently enrolled directly.
